Waring PBB2 Professional Bar Blender Review

The Waring PBB2 Professional Bar Blender is the perfect choice for consumers who are looking for something simple. Despite how simple the blender is it still gets the job done. I have been using this blender for a while now and I have no complaints at all. I simply love everything about it.

One of the best things about this two-speed blender is that its 390-watt motor is powerful to crush ice in just about no time. However, with the motor being as powerful as it is the blender can get a bit noisy, but the good thing is it doesn’t have to be run very long. The blender itself measures 14 x 8 x 7 inches so it easily fits into most cupboards.

Pros:

  • 2 Speeds – This blender is so simple that it only has two speeds and one switch, making it the easiest blender to use. Even better is that the 2 speeds are powerful enough to do everything that the blender is designed for. I can quickly crush ice or make a variety of frozen drinks, but I can also use the blender to make smoothies and puree some soup.
  • Heavy Duty – I love how solid this machine is. When I took it out of the box, I never once worried about the construction of the blender because of how solid it felt. The blender has a black enamel base, which is why it is so heavy, but the chrome accents make it the perfect addition to any countertop.
  • No Locking Mechanism – Other blenders require the blending cup to be locked into place, which is a pain. This blender has no locking mechanism to fight with, the blending cup drops into place, and if it isn’t the correct way, it simply won’t go in. Not having the locking mechanism is nice because I can also take the blender cup out quite easily to pour drinks.
  • 32 Ounce Stainless Steel Container – While the 32-ounce container is smaller than other blenders, it makes enough for me to be able to pour two large smoothies into a glass, which is often plenty for my entire family. However, the stainless steel design is brilliant because nothing sticks to the side, such as hot soup. As an added bonus, the metal helps keep smoothies and other drinks colder longer.

Cons:

  • Hold In Place – The worst thing that I can find with this blender is that the container must be held in place while the blender is being used. This is just a minor irritation at best because I normally stay right by the blender when using it to ensure nothing happens and it is out of habit that I keep on hand on the lid, just to ensure it doesn’t pop off.

The Waring PBB2 Professional Bar Blender is one of the most durable blenders I have ever found. I love how solid it feels, but I also enjoy the metal design. The metal blending cup allows me to make those great diner style milkshakes that my kids love without the expense of going to the diner. This blender is reasonably priced and comes with a general 1-year warranty and a 5-year warranty on the motor.
